Lo spagnolo Samuel Aranda ha vinto il premio World Press Photo 2011 con una fotografia diventata il simbolo delle rivolte in Yemen e della primavera araba. Secondo i giudici, lo scatto coglie le diverse facce delle proteste che l'anno scorso hanno cambiato i regimi in Medioriente e Nordafrica. La fotografia è stata scattata il 15 ottobre 2011 nell'ospedale da campo allestito in una moschea di Sanaa, capitale yemenita.
